Edsel Conrad lmmonen, 50, of Menahga, died from cancer Sunday, April 1, 2007, at Tri-County Hospital in Wadena.
He was born to Charles and Hilma (Katainen) Immonen on June 15, 1956, at Wesley Hospital in Wadena. He was baptized and confirmed at Meadowtown Apostolic Lutheran Church. He graduated from Menahga High School with the class of 1974. He enjoyed listening to and playing music. He was a lifetime resident of the Menahga area, where he enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and spending many hours walking in the woods. Edsel loved his family, especially his nieces.
A private memorial service and burial at Huntersville Cemetery will be at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to Wevley Funeral Home of Sebeka.
Survivors include his sister, Joanne Schumacher of Bloomington; three brothers, Jerry Immonen of Menahga, Elvin Immonen of Menahga, Eldon Immonen and his wife, Ann, of Wadena; and three nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Henry Schumacher.
