Donald J. "Don" Haase, 64, of St. Cloud, passed away Saturday, May 1, 2010.
Don was born March 7, 1946 in Wadena to Arthur and Mina (Oldenettle) Haase. He married Marjorie Beyer on July 24, 1965 in Deer Creek. Don worked his entire career in the lumber industry, most recently as a district manager for UBC which became Pro Build, until his retirement in April 2009. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Sauk Rapids where he was involved in the Salt & Pepper Senior Group, and helped volunteer with the Angel Food Network. Don enjoyed fishing, hunting, going to "the shack" near Walker, his dog Kota, riding his ATV, watching the Twins and Vikings, and spending time with friends. He loved horses and helping at his friends ranch. Don's greatest joy was spending time with his best friend and wife, Marge, and their family.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 6 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Sauk Rapids, with the Revs. Paul Cloeter and Harvey Ehlers officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. at the Wadena Cemetery in Wadena. Following the burial a reception will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church. Friends and relatives may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids, and one hour prior to the services Thursday at the church. Survivors include his wife, Marge, of St. Cloud; son and daughters, Jay (fiancé, Katrina) of Windhoek, Namibia, Africa, Stephanie (Alan) Kanengieter of Little Rock, Iowa, and Stacy (Jim) Lucas of La Habra Heights, Calif.; brother, David (Charolette) Haase of Tunnel Hill, Ga.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Chuck and Ethel Beyer; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Don was preceded in death by his parents.
