"This is a coordinated effort between the State of Minnesota, the local jurisdictions being involved, and some participating federal agencies and other supporting agencies," Disaster Recovery Coordinator John Moore said.

Some of the resources hosted at the Armory include the Minnesota Department of Safety -- Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, the Minnesota Department of Agriculture, the Department of Health, Minnesota Housing, the Department of Human Services and the Department of Employment and Economic Development.

"Everybody is welcome to stop in," Moore said. "No appointments are necessary, so they can just walk up."

Representatives from local, state, federal and other supporting agencies will provide resources to assist individuals and families in their disaster recovery. These disaster related resources include, but not limited to:

• Farm advocacy

• Unemployment

• Housing

• Long term recovery assistance

• Emotional support

The DRC will be at the Wadena National Guard Armory, at 517 N. Jefferson St. Hours of operation will be:

Friday, July 9, 1-7 p.m.

Saturday, July 10, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Sunday, July 11, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Monday, July 12, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Moore said the DRC will be only open for those four days; however, if they determine the need to extend it, they may work with the National Guard to stay in operation longer.
