Delilah Gay Perala, 36, of New York Mills, passed away Sept. 26, 2009, due to injuries in an automobile accident.
Delilah was born Aug. 7, 1973, in West Plains, Mo. Her parents are Peggy Ann (McGoldrick) Evans and the late LaRoy Evans. Delilah graduated from the West Plains High School with the class of 1991. She attended and graduated from Columbia University of Missouri in Columbia, Mo. On Aug. 30, 2006, Delilah was united in marriage with Scott Dale Perala in Long Prairie. Together they made their home in New York Mills. Delilah has been employed at the Tri-County Hospital in Wadena as a laboratory technician. She enjoyed spending time with her children, reading, floating on the river, cooking, baking, scrapbooking and Facebook. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Memorial services were held Thursday, Oct. 1, at Trinity Lutheran Church in New York Mills with the Rev. Jon T. Haakana officiating. The hymns were sung by the congregation, accompanied by Janell Brakel with special music provided by Arlan Dale. The honorary pallbearers were Chad Sonnenberg, Tom Johnson, Mike Kerzman, Steve Steinbach, Bruce Erickson and Joe Balcer. Survivors include her husband, Scott Perala of New York Mills; daughters, MaKayla, Victoria and MacKenzie; son, Brandon; stepchildren, Christina Theisen and Daniel Perala; two grandchildren; mother, Peggy Ann Evans; many other relatives; and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, LaRoy; and brother, Keith.
