The funeral service for Debra West of Wadena will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at the Johnson-Schuller Chapel in Wadena. Friends may call at the Johnson-Schuller Chapel in Wadena on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Debra passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at the Fair Oaks Lodge in Wadena.
Debra Gail West was born to Oscar and Mary (Thomas) Sisk in January 11, 1953 in Tulsa, OK.
She was united in marriage to William West in Modesto, CA. She worked at a motel until her disability made work too difficult. Debra lived in Keyes, CA., before moving to Wadena to be near her family. She found joy in watching game shows, working puzzles, and spending time with her daughter and grandchildren. Debra will be sadly missed by all of her family.
Debra was preceded in death by her parents Oscar and Mary; husband William; brother Ronnie; uncle Garland Thomas; and nephew George Synnott, Jr. She is survived by her sons Harold Fletcher of AR and William E. West of CA; daughter Kimberly of Wadena; 19 grandchildren & 2 great-grandchildren; brother Claude Sisk of Saligman, MO; sisters Barbara (Gary) Griffin, and Donna Moore both of Wadena, Carlene (Gale) Kent, and Teresa Synnott both of Sioux Falls, SD; grandchildren Caleb West and Kimberly R. West; and many nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be Claude Sisk, Robbie Kent, Gale Kent, William West, Justin Eckenrode and Daryl Chick. Serving as pallbearers will be Jordan Perry, Harold Fletcher, Tyler Perry, Gary Griffin, Tom Kahler and Shane Perry.
Burial will be in the Wadena Cemetery.
