Deborah Lynn Carlson-Long

The Celebration of Life Open House for Deborah Lynn Carlson-Long of Rogers will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2014, from 1:00-3:00 p.m., with a Prayer Service at 2:30, at the Johnson-Schuller Chapel in Wadena. Deborah passed away at the age of 57, on Saturday, March 15, 2014, at J.A. Wedum Hospice in Brooklyn Park, MN.

Deborah was born to Leslie and Ellen (Monson) Carlson on November 4, 1956 in Bloomington, MN. She attended Kennedy High School in Bloomington and then her family moved to Wadena in 1973.

Deborah was united in marriage with Jeremy Long on April 17, 1990, in Las Vegas, NV. She attained an Associate Degree in Accounting and was employed with Wells Fargo. Deborah belonged to the Minnesota Realtors Association.

Deb enjoyed leisure hours by listening to music and cooking & baking. She liked to travel, including going to New York to visit with Jeremys family. Deb especially enjoyed gathering with her family on the Fourth of July. Most of all, she loved time spent with her grandchildren.

Deborah was preceded in death by her mother Ellen Carlson and sister Tammy Carlson. She is survived by her husband Jeremy; children Benjamin Carlson-Long and Heather Carlson of both of Rogers; father Leslie (Judy) Carlson of Wadena; brothers Dwight (Nancy) Carlson of Park Rapids and Wayne (Mary Schommer) Carlson of Ottertail; sisters Robin (Wayne) McClure of Brainerd and Penny (Bruce) McManigle of Wadena.

Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren Alanna Carlson and Dylan Carlson.

Following the Open House a lunch will be served from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at the VFW Post, 213 1st St. SE, in Wadena.
