Darold Wendell Falldorf, 79, of Bemidji died Monday, July 15, 2013 at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center.
Private Family Services will be held under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji. Interment will be at Pine Ridge Cemetery in Turtle River, MN.
Darold was born October 29, 1933 in Grand Island, Nebraska, the son of Harry and Emily (Taggart) Falldorf. He was raised and educated in Wadena, MN where he graduated from high school in 1951. He served our country during the Korean War in the U. S. Army from 1951- 1954 and was a decorated veteran. He married Georgene Punk Ann Sapp on Aug. 20, 1955 at Staples, MN. They lived in Staples until 1970 until they moved to Gonvick. In 1975, they moved to Bemidji. Georgene died in 1990. Darold married Joy E. Duhamel on July 30, 1993 and they made their home in Bemidji. Darold was a pipeline contractor for most of his life, he enjoyed the challenge each job presented. He eventually became a co-owner of a pipeline company, Aconite Corporation of St. Paul, retiring in 1992. He loved having weekly gatherings with his family and friends at his home on Big Turtle Lake, fishing on the lake, hunting and watching sports.

He was preceded in death by his wife Georgene Falldorf, 3 daughters- Kim, Julie and Jodi and his parents.
Memorials are preferred to the Minnesota Chapter of Ducks Unlimited.
