She was born Aug. 22, 1928 in Deer Creek to Adolph Wickstrom and Geneva (Green) Wickstrom. She attended Deer Creek Public Schools and graduated in 1946. She earned her degree from Moorhead State Teachers college in 1948. After her graduation, she taught for one year in Adrian, Minn., before moving to LeRoy, where she continued teaching until 1953. She married Vernon "Chub" Iverson on June 22, 1951 in Bowling Green, Ohio. They lived and farmed in LeRoy until moving to Alaska for Chub's military assignment in 1954. They returned to LeRoy to resume farming 19 months later. In 1967, they moved to the Iverson farm southwest of LeRoy.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 10, at the LeRoy Lutheran Church with the Rev. Thomas Kolden officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Vernon "Chub" Iverson of LeRoy; three daughters, Deb Meyer of LeRoy, Pam (John) Koster of Rochester, and Colette (Bill) Miles of LeRoy; four grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Ethel Wickstrom; two nieces and five nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Gary; and her infant sister, Gracia.
