Memorial services were held for Daniel Suhl, age 21 of Wadena, Minnesota on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at the New York Mills City Hall Ballroom in New York Mills, Minnesota, with Chaplin Greg Valentine officiating.
Daniel Thomas Suhl, 21, was born on January 1, 1993 in Jamestown, North Dakota to Leanne Johnson and Chris Suhl. Daniel attended Wadena High School. He enjoyed working on trucks and trailers, as well as using his welding skills. Daniel loved the outdoors; hunting, golfing, and all kinds of fishing. Beating anyone in bowling was always a highlight for him. He also enjoyed truck and tractor pulls with the Klankenstein. Daniel volunteered for Habitat for Humanity and helped with the tornado cleanup in Wadena. He was employed as a mechanic for the last two years in Williston, North Dakota. He moved back to Wadena with his girlfriend, Anne Carlson, in January to be closer to family.
On February 14, 2014, Daniel and his beloved Anne passed away with their pets, Pistol, Whiskers, and Zai, at their home in Wadena, Minnesota.
He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Preceding Daniel in death were his grandparents and great-grandparents.
Daniel is survived by his parents: Leanne (Bob Kingsley) Johnson of Wadena; Joe Schmidt of Wadena; father, Chris (Ginger) Suhl of Park Rapids; siblings: Christopher Schmidt of Oak Grove; Darwin Kasprowicz of Hallock; Wyatt Kingsley & Jesse Kingsley of Wadena; Harlee Suhl & Hailee Suhl of Park Rapids; Grandparents: Larry Johnson & Linda Berg of Oak Grove; Barb & Doug Schmidt of Wadena; Tom & Sue Suhl of Wadena; Godparents: Mike & Rhonda Kleinke of Wadena; many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and a host of friends.
