According to Director Randy Jahnke while speaking at the event, the Cyber started as an afternoon teen center in its first two years. When one of the grants was cut down a bit, the coffee shop was opened.

As it sheds its monthly mortgage payment, Jahnke is also taking on a new role.

"Cyber's newest adventure is managing the community center," he said.

Jahnke acknowledged the board members and said that being done with the mortgage would make the Cyber more viable and allow the it to be in the community for a long time.
