Consider giving to TCH Foundation through online program
Tri-County Hospital Foundation will collaborate with GiveMN, a first-of-its-kind online giving portal that will provide donors with information about organizations that match their philanthropic goals, and will allow users to easily keep track of their donations in a single online location. The Minnesota Community Foundation and other key nonprofit leaders in Minnesota created GiveMN to take advantage of the many benefits offered by online giving for both donors and nonprofits. Donors can go to GiveMN anytime to support their favorite causes. They can also manage their charitable giving there by recording online and offline contributions and storing receipts.
Through this collaboration, the TCH Foundation now offers secure online donations for anyone wishing to give. Each year, the TCH Foundation funds community programming such as February Festival of Health, Men's Night Out and Women's Night Out. In addition, grants and scholarships are available to benefit area health initiatives and students pursuing healthcare careers. Foundation funding also includes special programs and needs at Fair Oaks Lodge.
Nov. 17 is "Give to the Max Day," a plan created to increase giving to local foundations. The St. Paul Foundation, Minneapolis Foundation and Bush Foundation have committed $500,000 in matching contributions to support local charities, such as the TCH Foundation, across Minnesota. This means from 8 a.m. on Nov. 17 to 8 a.m. Nov. 18, GiveMN will match individual donations until the $500,000 is exhausted. A link has been created on the Foundation Donation section of the TCH Web site, www.tricountyhospital.org, to allow the community easy access to this giving portal.
"We hope that you will consider giving to the TCH Foundation during this 24-hour period. With the matching funds, just imagine the money that could be raised in one day alone," said Roxy Hejhal, TCH Community Relations Manager.
