Community invited to Pregnant Pause
Pregnant women, women thinking about getting pregnant, spouses, partners, friends, family and other supportive community members are invited to join in for an annual event, Pregnant Pause, which brings awareness to Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). The event is free and will be hosted in honor of healthy pregnancies and healthy babies.
The gathering will be held from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, May 21 at Lakewood Health System's Main Campus, 49725 County 83, Staples, in the lower level classrooms. Participants can enjoy exotic non-alcoholic drinks prepared by experienced bartenders and plenty of snacks to suit every type of craving.
Every pregnant woman who attends will receive a prize to make being a mom a bit easier, and will also have the opportunity to make fun creative crafts and register for additional prizes.
To register, contact Kelly Riepe, FASD clinic coordinator, at (218) 894-8336.
