DAILY WEEKDAY: WDC Middle/High School Walking Track Monday - Friday 6 to 7:30 a.m. and 3:15 to 5:30 p.m.  The track is open to the public and is free of charge.  Walking and running are permitted on the track.

  • 50th Annual NFO Ottertail LMU Sausage Supper – Deer Creek Community Center – Serving from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Menu: Sausage, Baked Beans, Scalloped Potatoes, Cole Slaw, Dinner Rolls, and Dessert Bars. The Speaker will be NFO National President Paul Olson. Raffle drawing and door prizes!

  • WDC Elementary Open Gym (Main and Auditorium) – Open Sundays from 6 to 8 p.m. for youths and adults.  We encourage parents to accompany children.  Open gym is free of charge.  Gyms will be supervised.  Open gym is sponsored by Wadena-Deer Creek-Bluffton Adult and Youth Community Education.

  • The Diabetes support group meets the second Monday of the month at 3:30 p.m. (NEW TIME) at Tri-County Health Care (TCHC). Tuesday, April 9

  • Exercise Class, Wadena Senior Center, 10 a.m.  Everyone is welcome!
  • Friends of the Wadena City Library meets at 12 noon at St. Helens Church, Wadena.
  • Tri-County Health Care (TCHC), Fair Oaks Lodge, Legacy Home Care/Hospice and the National Alzheimer’s Association will host the next Memory Loss Support Group for Caregivers meeting starting at 2:30 p.m. in the Wesley Conference Room, located on the lower level of TCHC.  Join us for this unique monthly support group for caregivers of individuals diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and or Dementia. You are not alone. Join us and learn new coping skills to better care for and understand your loved ones dealing with memory loss.  Through participation in a support group, you will be better prepared and perhaps feel less overwhelmed as your loved one’s condition becomes worse. You also may be able to find some hope, from seeing that others who have been caring longer have survived the caregiving experience.  The Memory Loss Support Group for Caregivers meets the second Thursday of each month at 2:30 p.m. at TCHC. Please visit the front desk for conference room location. Anyone with an interest in understanding more about memory loss is invited to attend.   • A Senior Health Clinic sponsored by Wadena County Public Health will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. at Humphrey Manor.  Health screening including blood pressure, vision, hearing, medication review, foot care, immunizations and health information and referrals are provided.  Bring your medications along.  There is a $15.50 fee for foot care.  Please bring your MN Health Plan card if you have one.  For further information call Public Health at 631-7629.  Services funded in part by contract with Central MN Council on Aging as part of the Older Americans Act.
