Clinical psychologist joins Lakewood Health System
The on-staff specialist list continues to grow at Lakewood Health System with the addition of Clinical Psychologist, Paul Davis, Ph.D., L.P.
Prior to joining Lakewood Health System, Davis worked in private practice with Knowlton, O'Neill, & Associates, P.C. in West Fargo, N.D. He also previously worked with MeritCare Health System (now Sanford Health) in Fargo.
The Minnesota native earned his doctorate in clinical psychology at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. He received further clinical training through the U.S. Army Clinical Psychology Residency Training Program at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu. In addition, he completed training at the Army Medical Department Center and School, Fort Sam Houston, Texas, and at the Army School of Aviation Medicine, Fort Rucker, Ala. Davis then served as chief of psychology and psychiatry services at Kenner Army Health Clinic, Fort Lee, Va.
Davis is listed in the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology. He is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), Division 12 Clinical Psychology of APA, Division 38 Health Psychology of APA, the American Association of Behavior and Cognitive Therapies, and the North Dakota Psychological Association.
Davis works with adults and adolescents affected by a wide range of psychological and behavioral concerns, including depression, anxiety, stress, and interpersonal difficulties. He also has clinical interests in coping with and improving chronic health conditions, such as chronic pain and chronic disease processes via behavioral management.
