CLIMB play coming to NYM on May 6
CLIMB Theatre comes to the New York Mills City Hall Ballroom on Friday, May 6, at 7 p.m. to perform "Return to Honor," a play about the challenges of post-deployment life. This free forty-minute play is appropriate to family and friends of war veterans, as well as to the community members in their lives. Adults and families with children 10 and older are encouraged to attend. The New York Mills City Hall Ballroom is at 28 Centennial 84 Drive. Call (218) 385-2436 for more information.
In her three-person show, award-winning playwright Buffy Sedlachek educates the community about some of the difficulties faced by many veterans and informs military personnel about the resources available to support their successful reintegration.
New York Mills is the fifth stop on the play's tour of seven communities in Viking Library System from April 30-May 7. This project is funded in part or in whole with money from Minnesota's Arts and Cultural Heritage fund and a grant from the Wells Fargo Foundation of Minnesota, and is sponsored by New York Mills Public Library and Viking Library System.
