City will use TIF funds for paving project
The city of Verndale voted to use funds from tax increment financing district 1-3 to pave some roadway leading to the Bullseye Bar and Grill.
Traci Ryan, a consultant on the TIF district, told the city after this year, it will have already recouped expenses to create TIF district 1-3, and can use the funds so long as the owners of the Bullseye wouldn't otherwise complete the project.
Alan Werk, one of the owners, confirmed that at the council meeting Monday night.
A low bid of $6,956 was accepted on the project.
