WDC High School students recently joined more than 400 singers from 44 different high schools from Minnesota and North Dakota during an Honors Choir event at NDSU in Fargo.

Sayde Anderson and Brittany Andrews sang in the Women's Choir under the direction of Dr. Charlotte Moe and Haley Anderson, Molly Barrett, Avery Jackson, Austin Korkowski, David Najjar, Dylan Anderson and Nolan Johnson sang in the Mixed Choir under the direction of Dr. Joann Miller. Moe and Miller are both from NDSU's music department.

According to WDC Choir Director Mike Ortmann, the students enjoyed meeting students from other schools and being able to sing with so many talented people. He said they also learned many new musical ideas and techniques from the directors.

"It was a valuable experience for the kids. I was very proud of them," Ortmann said.
