Chefs confirmed for Savor the Moment

The Staples-Motley Early Childhood Coalition will present Savor the Moment, a chef's challenge and fundraiser for Staples Motley school readiness programs, on Saturday, Feb. 5 at Landmark Inn in Staples.

This event provides the opportunity to enjoy gourmet samples and cooking demonstrations from some of our area's finest restaurants and caterers. Chefs will compete in an appetizer/entrée and/or dessert category. The businesses and chefs who have confirmed their place at Savor the Moment include Detloff Custom Catering, Granary Restaurant at Little Moran, Harvest Thyme Bistro, Prairie Bay Grill and Catering, Staples Express and Bakery, The Bear's Den, The Shante and Tower Pizza.

Savor the Moment will be held from 6:30-9 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person in advance ($30 at the door) and are available at Tower Pizza (Staples), Freshwater Education District (Staples), The Shante (Pillager) or by calling (218) 894-1897.

All proceeds from this event will benefit school readiness classes in the Staples Motley School District. These classes are a vital part of many children's preschool experience and ensure children possess the necessary skills to succeed in school. Children become familiar with the school environment and learn skills necessary for kindergarten and beyond.
