Charles went home to be with the Lord on June 24, 2014.

Charles was born in Wadena, MN, on October 28, 1939, raised by his parents Leonard and Erma White. Charles grew up on a farm north of Verndale and although he only completed school through the seventh grade, that did not stop him from achieving his lifes dreams. Charles married the love of his life, Donna, on August 22, 1958, at Oylen, and together they created a life and experienced much. Charles sense of adventure took him to every state except Hawaii as an over-the-road truck driver and achieved the Million-Mile Club with no accidents. During the 1970s, Charles returned to farming raising dairy cows, crops and his kids; he took pleasure in working the land on his tractor and watching the crops grow. His love of the open road drew him back to trucking where he and Donna together put many miles into the log books. Most recently, he continued in transportation with the Amish community and traveled many back roads delivering them to their destinations.

Charles was passionate about deer hunting passing the tradition from his father through him to his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His other passion was family where he instilled in them a strong work ethic, a desire to help others and the importance of faith and family. Charles loved to help people and found many creative ways to provide assistance. He was fascinated by people and their stories and would strike up a conversation with anyone to learn their story. He will be intensely missed by his family and friends and we are grateful for all that he taught us.

Charles is survived by his wife, Donna, children, Edwin, (LeAnn) White, Roger White, and Phyllis (Jack) Kveton; grandchildren, Jimmy (LeAnn) Kveton, Sarah (Erik) Williams, Chris White, Donna Kveton, George Kveton, and David Mullet; great-grandchildren, James Kveton, Samantha Kveton, Jarret Kveton, Grace Kveton Hayley Williams, Noah Williams, Elena Williams; siblings Gene (Linda) White, Bill (Connie) White, Inez (Kermit) Line, Ruth (Randy) Steinkopf; brother-in-law David Steinkopf; along with numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Erma White and sister, Eva Steinkopf.

Honorary pallbearers are his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be his nephews Darwin Dahlvang, Dean Dahlvang, Bob Bimberg, Jayson Steinkopf, Michael Steinkopf, and Leonard Steinkopf.

Burial will be in Wing River Union Cemetery in rural Verndale, Wadena County, MN.
