Memorial services for Carmen Adela Odenbrett of rural Wadena were held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012, at Schuller Family Funeral Home's Johnson-Schuller Chapel in Wadena, with Pastor Kirk Lee presiding.
Carmen passed away at the age of 65 on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, Minn.
Carmen was born on May 4, 1947, in Lares, Puerto Rico to Joaquin Gonzalez and Francisca (Maldonado) Gonzalez. She has lived in the Wadena area for 32 years, where she brought up her two children, Rick and Sunshine. She loved to cook and spend time with family and friends.
Carmen was preceded in death by her parents, Joaquin Gonzalez and Francisca Segarra; sister, Marta Elledge; and brothers, Joaquin Gonzalez, II and Jerrold Schwitters. She is also survived by her children, Rick C. Odenbrett of Wadena and Sunshine (Roland) Gilbert of Plymouth, Minn.; grandchildren, Summer Gilbert and Roland Gilbert, III; brother, Tony Segarra of Riverside, Cal.; sister, Maria Schwitters of Aston, Pa.; aunt, Mildred Castro of Arizona; and many nieces and nephews.
Arrangements were with Schuller Family Funeral Homes.
