Carbon monoxide poisoning kills two rural Wadena residents

A young couple died from carbon monoxide poisoning south of Wadena early Friday morning before a fire consumed the camper they were staying in.


The victims were 21-year-olds Anne Carlson and Daniel Suhl. The couple’s dog and two cats also perished.

The fire was reported just before 4 a.m. Friday. When first responders arrived on the scene, they discovered the camper fully engulfed in flames, according to the Wadena County Sheriff’s Office.
