Capra's 'It's a Wonderful Life' in production
Madhatter's Community Theatre is currently in production of Frank Capra's beloved "It's a Wonderful Life" as a live radio play/broadcast (adapted by Joe Landry) that takes place on a 1940s Christmas Eve. This captivating adaptation is complete with live sound effects, audiograms, and commercial breaks. Everyman George Bailey gets the chance to see what the world would be like if he had never been born -- a pertinent lesson for us all! Set in a 1940s radio studio, six actors create more than 50 memorable characters with only their voices, period sound effects and live music.
The production opens, in cooperation with Wadena Area Christmas Festival, on Saturday, Nov. 26, and Sunday, Nov. 27, at 7:30 p.m. in the Wadena Memorial Auditorium. There will be additional performances on Dec. 8, 9, 10 and 11. Call (218) 632-SHOW for more information.
