Bullseye catering to groups with banquet room
The Bullseye Bar and Grill has converted the former Verndale off-sale liquor store into a banquet room for medium-sized groups.
Owner Scott Werk said the transition on the banquet room was finished around Dec. 1.
"Dates are starting to fill in," he said.
Werk said the room, which seats up to 100 people, is suited for birthday parties, groom's dinners, small weddings, business meetings, purse parties, Tupperware parties and other events.
The room is also set up for wi-fi internet access and laptop plug-ins.
Construction on the banquet room included putting new flooring in and adding some walls.
The menu available to people renting the banquet room is buffet-style and separate from the regular Bullseye menu. There are different pricing options and choices of meat, vegetables, potatoes and salads, as well as appetizers available.
Bullseye Bar & Grill opened April 1, 2008.
"When the city of Verndale decided that they did not want to continue with off-sale, we decided we need to look at what business would be best suited for this particular area that we had, and there really isn't a lot for options for your medium-sized groups," Werk said.
The site used to be rented to the city of Verndale, which still sells liquor downtown.
