Brownlow discusses delay in aid
Verndale Superintendent Paul Brownlow told the District 818 board Monday that the state will delay paying an additional $148,000 until the end of the 2010-2011 school year.
The state will repay the district roughly $900,000 at the end of the school year.
Verndale's good financial situation will allow the district to weather the additional burden. When the state repays the funds, they will go into the Minnesota School District Liquid Asset Fund.
