Brett Brockpahler's first fastpitch outing of the season would have to go under the heading of a rough cut gem Monday as the Sebeka junior led the Trojans to a 13-4 victory at Verndale.
Brockpahler mixed 11 strikeouts with her six walks. She only surrendered four hits and threw five straight shutout innings.
The game saw Dan Johnson's Verndale club bounce back from a three-run Sebeka first with two runs in their half of the inning. Then it was light's out for the next five frames.
The Trojans busted out for four runs in the fourth and five in the seventh.
Kirstin Korfe surrendered 13 hits and 10 walks in her season debut. Korfe shared pitching duties with senior Jenny Swenson last year.
Logan Redetzke and Jasmine Titcomb both scored three times for the Trojans. Titcomb, Redetzke and Aleashia Rathcke both drove in two runs with two hits.
Jordy Schluttner collected two of Verndale's four hits and drove in three runs. Korfe had a double and scored twice along with Sarah Moenkedick.
