Bricks from WDC High School available as a souvenir
As demolition of the Wadena-Deer Creek High School continues and the building is fast becoming a memory, a physical souvenir of the school is now available.
Bricks from the high school will be offered to the public, free of charge. They are located in the west parking lot near the tennis court.
Demolition began on Nov. 15 of the estimated 166,000-square-foot building that saw its first students graduate in 1966. The high school was destroyed by a tornado on June 17.
