Brian Alan Grangruth, 61, of Wadena, died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2007, in Wadena.
He was born in Wadena on Dec. 23, 1945, to Wilmer and Mary Ann (Reith) Grangruth. He lived and worked in California after his discharge from the military as a sand blaster. He moved back to Wadena in 1994. He was a Vietnam veteran, serving in the Army. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
A memorial service to celebrate his life was held on Wednesday, Feb. 21, at Bielema Family Funeral Home in Wadena with the Rev. Orville Sauter officiating. Burial will be in the Leaf River Cemetery. Survivors include his step-mother, Alice Grangruth, of Wadena; daughters, Christina Robertson, Angela Anderson, and Toni Grangruth; son, Brian Jr.; sister, Jackie Aman, of Wadena; brothers, Brent of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Bradley of Wadena; half-brothers, Patrick Foster and James Foster Jr., both of Wadena. He was preceded in death by his father and mother.
