Braves top Mills 12-1 in Hi-10 play

Kevin Tumberg and Jake Seelhammer did it with the bats and Kyle Dykhoff tossed a five-hit gem Friday night as the Bluffton Braves whipped New York Mills 12-1 in Hi-10 League baseball action.

Tumberg and Seelhammer each came up with a pair of singles, a double and a triple for the winning Braves. Dykhoff and Mark Sweere each scored two runs. The Braves put together 12 hits in the game.

"Our pitching has been good and our defense has been good and finally on Friday our hitting picked up," coach Terry Geiser said.

Nick Ostlie homered in the fourth inning to spoil Dykhoff's shutout bid.

The victory gave the Braves a 9-5 season record.
