BPA members participate at State Leadership Conference

Seven members of the Wadena-Deer Creek chapter of Business Professionals of America (BPA) participated in the State Leadership Conference held at the Hyatt Regency in Minneapolis on March 6 and 7, along with advisor Nancy Peterson.
The conference provided the students with the opportunity to compete in a variety of workplace skill assessments.
Wadena-Deer Creek students placed as follows: Paige Hartman, first place, Generals (Management, Marketing, Human Resources) and second place, Legal Office Procedures; Austin Hendershot, fourth place, Keyboarding Production; and Elise Kallevig, 14th place, Keyboarding Production.
Also participating and placing in the top 20 were: Brandee Bly, Interview; Marissa Jahnke, Fundamental Word Processing and Economic Research Team; and Ashley Peters and Anna Kraemer, Economic Research Team.
Paige Hartman and Austin Hendershot qualified for the National BPA Leadership Conference to be held April 30 through May 3 in Indianapolis.
