The top-seeded Bucs won the first five matches in their showdown with the second-seeded Wolverines to take a 24-0 lead.

WDC head coach Norm Gallant credited the Bucs with a great job of wrestling.

"They are just that good," Gallant said.

Getting victories for the Wolverines were Jordan Rentz, Jared and Jacob Wegscheid, Tony Reurink and Dylan Anderson.

Saturday's performance was a big improvement by the Wolverines over the one they gave against Border West Jan. 13 in Wadena. The Bucs dominated that dual 55-9.

"The kids left it all on the mat," Gallant said in praising his wrestlers. "They did what we asked them to do."

The Bucs will draw Frazee in the first round of the Class A state team tournament. Border West ended the season ranked No. 9 in the Class A state poll. Frazee was ranked No. 3.
