Bonnie Jean Hansen, 75, of Hewitt, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, May 27, 2009.
She was born Sept. 3, 1933, at Sioux City, Iowa to Jim and Minnie Hewitt. She married Roger DeWane Hansen on Nov. 4, 1950. The lived for a time at Graceville, Minn., and Sioux City, Iowa. They moved to a farm in the Hewitt area 40 years ago and farmed for many years before retiring and moving into Hewitt. She enjoyed making quilts, crocheting and cooking. She was an avid Christian.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 1, at the Domian-Anderson Funeral Home in Bertha with the Rev. Robert Kaumans of the Eagle Bend Assemblies of God Church presiding. Pallbearers were Luke Hansen, Blaine Brisson, Adrian Erickson, Tom Metzler, Dave Templin and Jim Templin. Interment was in the Woodside Cemetery at Wrightstown. Domian-Anderson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements (www.domian-anderson.com).
Survivors include her children, Rose (Donald) Zuehlke of Parkers Prairie, Randy Hansen of Nebraska, Roger (Lenore) Hansen of Miltona, Terry Hansen of Staples and Stacy Hansen of Alaska; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger, in 2004; parents, Jim and Minnie; infant son, Christopher; one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter.
