The Bluffton City Council hosted an open house for longtime council member Marv Wegscheid and city clerk Missy Peterson on Thursday, July 23 at the Bluffton Community Center. Bluffton residents got the opportunity to thank Wegscheid and Peterson for their years of service, as well as enjoy refreshments. Wegscheid retired from the city council after faithfully serving for more than 50 years, holding various offices during that time. Peterson served as the city clerk for more than 14 years. She and her family recently moved from Bluffton to rural Wadena. Bluffton Mayor Dale Porter also presented Wegscheid and Peterson plaques of appreciation to honor their community service.
