Halley Maas iced two goals and Emery Dumpprope collected a playmaker Tuesday as the Long Prairie-Grey Eagle/Wadena-Deer Creek Blue Devils crushed Morris-Benson 8-1.


The Blue Devils iced three goals in the first period with Maas, Zara Einerwold and Brooke Umland finding the net.

After Hannah Lindblad cut the lead to 3-1 at the 2:29 mark of the second period, Katelyn Barthel helped the Blue Devils rebuild their three-goal advantage.

Abigail Ecker, Ashlee Helseth and Morgan Zeise joined Maas in scoring thirdperiod goals for the Blue Devils.

The Blue Devils dominated the shooting in all three periods and put 40 shots on goal to Morris-Benson's 15.

Angela Hanson went all the way in the net for the Blue Devils and had 14 saves.

The Blue Devils play a road contest Saturday with Lake of the Woods. George Behl's team is then off until Nov. 27, when they host Fergus Falls in a 7 p.m. match at the Wadena Ice Arena.

Three players had two goals apiece as the Tigers blanked the Blue Devils Nov. 4 in their season opener.

Paul McElhone's Tigers out-shot the Blue Devils 44-16. Mikayla Brookes, Suzi Voce and Angela Mattson all scored twice for the Tigers.

The Tigers scored their first three goals within a minute of each other. Brooks scored at the 7:04 and 7:55 marks. Voce scored her first goal at the 7:26 mark.

Angela Hanson and Sarah Holm shared time in the net for the Blue Devils and kicked out 33 of

Princeton's shots.
