Bloody scene, broken glass lead to charges for two
Two people were charged in Wadena County District Court for a March 5 incident that led to more than $2,000 in damage to a residence.
On March 5, Sebeka police responded to a complaint of a disturbance on Becker Avenue South in Sebeka.
There, the officer found a residence with the front door open and people inside yelling. The officer observed Dennis Russell Sanson, 38, of Park Rapids, and Joy Kristin Cantrell, 42, of Sebeka inside, each with bloody hands. The officer saw broken glass, several holes in walls, empty beer cans on the floor and a hole in the microwave. The two said they had gotten into an argument and it got out of control.
The estimated value of the damage to the apartment was $2,337.55.
Each of the suspects were charged with first-degree damage to property -- value reduced over $1,000 and disorderly conduct. Each was set for an initial court appearance on May 17.
