Bible is clear on marriage
This election is a critical one for Minnesota. We are being asked to vote on the definition of marriage. Marriage is defined as the union of one man and one woman. This is what God ordained when he created us.
The Bible is very clear on the issue of homosexuality. Leviticus 18:22 says, "Do not practice homosexuality; it is a detestable sin."
In the first chapter of Romans, we read a list of shameful desires that people have when they reject God. Verses 26-27 say, "Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex, and instead indulged in sex with each other." And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other.
Romans goes on to say that, though they know it's wrong, they go ahead and do it anyway and encourage others to sin too.
Wording from 1 Corinthians 6 tells us not to fool ourselves; that this is sin. God will not tolerate sin.
The good news is that the Bible also assures us that anyone who confesses their sin, God will hear them and forgive their sin.
We are all free to love whomever we choose, but marriage has and should continue to be between one man and one woman. Vote YES on the marriage amendment.
Remember, no vote is a NO vote.
