Carlson went the first three frames and did not allow a hit, while walking two and fanning four. Burkman came on for the final two innings and surrendered a single to JoeVanDenheuvel. Burkman walked two and fanned two.

On top of the excellent pitching performances, Sebeka reaped the fruits of a strong night at the plate by the top four hitters in their lineup. Paul Funk went 2-for-4 and scored twice, Steinke went 2-for-3, scored twice and drove in one run, Carlson went 2-for-4 with three runs and two ribbies and Ray Mueller went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBIs.

"Sebeka hit the ball extremely well," BHV Head Coach Steve Riewer said. "It didn't seem to matter what our pitchers threw up there because they hit everything."

Errors also hurt the BHV crew, and four miscues in the third inning led to a five-run frame for Sebeka.

Nate Brown worked three innings for BHV before giving way to Eric Blaha. Brown was hung with the loss.
