Beverly Ann Gritz
Beverly Ann (Kraft) Gritz, 56, of Maplewood, Minn., passed away Aug. 15, 2009, at her home.
She was born Aug. 28, 1952, in Cokato, Minn, to Harriet (Nelson) Kraft and Elmer Kraft. She attended parochial school at St. James Lutheran Church and graduated with the class of 1970 from Howard Lake High School. She attended business college in St. Cloud. On Sept. 1, 1973, she married Francis J. Gritz Jr. at St. James Lutheran Church in Howard Lake, Minn. Together they made their home in Maplewood, Minn., in 1974. She was employed as a house cleaner for many years. She was very involved and a group leader in Emotions Anonymous. She loved knickknacks, and had more of them than shelves. She was a very proud mother and grandmother.
Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 21, at St. James Lutheran Church in Howard Lake, Minn., with the Rev. Martin Schoenfeld officiating. The pallbearers were Anthony "AJ" Houge, Phillip Gritz, Jeffrey Gritz, James Gritz, Dean Kostial and John Gritz. She was laid to rest in St. James Cemetery in Howard Lake, Minn. Survivors include her husband, Francis "Joe" Gritz Jr., of Maplewood; daughter, Jennifer "Jenny" Lynn (Anthony "AJ") Houge of Maplewood; mother, Harriet Kraft of Cokato, Minn.; three grandchildren, Phillip Gritz, Stephanie Gritz and Kaylee Muller; cousins; other relatives; and a host of friends.
