Benson woman charged with check forgery
Nanette Marie Foreman, 47, of Benson, Minn. is being charged with check forgery and offering a forged check to a Wadena area business.
On June 14, 2011, the suspect's step-mother submitted an affidavit of forgery signed earlier that day, according to court documents. The step-mother indicated that a check issued to a Wadena business on May 31, 2011 in the amount of $50 was forged and cashed by Foreman. She stated that Foreman had stolen three blank checks from her purse, said court records.
Another check in the amount of $50 was forged and cashed at a Park Rapids area business on May 6, 2011 as well. Foreman's first court appearance is scheduled for April 30.
