Benefit fund established for fire victims
Mid-Central Federal Savings Bank in Wadena has established a benefit fund for the surviving members of the Kreidler family, who lost their daughter, Jessica, in a house fire on Oct. 13. The money will go toward funeral expenses for Jessica and to assist the family financially after the loss of their home, said Angie Burke, loan processor.
"Their home was totally destroyed," Burke said. "Everything needs replacing."
Burke didn't know if people will respond to the opportunity to donate, but she said she does know they are interested.
The fund was set up after people kept asking how they could help the Kreidlers, she said. Burke's husband is a relative of Scott Kreidler and she said numerous people have dropped off clothing and other items at the Burke's home to help out the Kreidlers. The benefit account is solely for funds, she said.
Checks can be made out to Mid Central Federal Savings Bank, and Burke said donors can receive a receipt for their gift.
"They need everything they can get right now," she said. "They did lose everything."
