Amanda Perkins went 3-for-4 with three RBIs as Wadena-Deer Creek trounced Breckenridge 19-1 Tuesday in their season softball opener.

Katelyn Peters and Melissa Moenkedick combined for four hits, four runs and three RBIs.


Perkins chalked up the pitching win in the five-inning game. She surrendered four hits and three walks while fanning three.

"Perkins kept the ball around the strike zone and the defense allowed only one error on the day," WDC head coach Craig Klawitter said.
