Wadena-Deer Creek students arrived for the first day of classes on Sept. 7 to a different kind of day. Elementary students found high school students among the throng of students. The high schoolers opened their first day with a breakfast coordinated by the Student Council and served by teachers, followed by a pep fest that featured school spirit and games as well as a message from Principal Tyler Church and School Counselor Toni Kraska.
