Baby Spa class to be held at Lakewood Health System
Lakewood Health System will be offering a Baby Spa class from 6-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 26 at Lakewood Health System's Main Campus.
This interactive class will teach parents about topics including infant signing, infant massage and aromatherapy. Infant signing has become a new way of communicating with infants. Babies can actually learn sign language before they can walk. After learning how to use infant signing, parents will receive a laminated baby signing tool to take home.
Through the infant massage portion of the Baby Spa class, parents will learn how to use infant massage to help alleviate pain from common infant problems like colic and constipation. Infant massage will be taught by Andrea Broughten, Lakewood Health System's certified infant massage therapist.
The aromatherapy section will give parents information about the benefits of using the sense of smell during labor and in the stages after the baby is born.
There is a cost for the class. Each participant will receive a gift. To register, call Gayle at (218) 894-8623 or call Nola for more information at (218) 894-8586.
