Assembly of God churches fundraising with fireworks
When organizations think about raising funds for their projects, most turn to the ordinary. For example, raffles or candy sales. This year, however, one Verndale/Wadena group will be raising funds in a more unique fashion.
Verndale and Wadena Assembly of God churches will be operating the TNT Fireworks tent at the Wadena Wal-Mart parking lot as a fundraiser for upcoming events and a community project. The tent is open from June 24 through July 4, until 10 p.m. nightly. The funds raised will allow local teens to attend summer camps, and funds will be used to build a much-needed community playground on the north side of Verndale in late August.
The group offers a no-duds guarantee and other specials. All fireworks will be legal in the state of Minnesota.
