Architects get input on new high school
More than 100 people turned out for the input meeting on the new high school. The high school's architect, Perkins+Will, facilitated the meeting, asking the audience to "dream a little" on what they want to see in their new high school. They asked the audience to talk about what they liked about the former high school and what they'd like to see in a new high school.
Perkins+Will then divided the audience into breakout groups to discuss the following topic areas:
Some of the comments included: a more welcoming school, a pool for the school/community; a green, efficient facility; a well-lit school with lots of windows; and a spectacular school to serve our students for many years. A complete list of ideas will be shared with the public in the next couple of weeks. If you could not attend the meeting and would like share your input, please contact the District Office at (218) 632-2155.
