Anesthesiologist welcomed at Lakewood Health
Lakewood Health System announced the newest addition to its anesthesiology team, Charles Halderman, doctor of osteopathic medicine. Halderman is the first doctor of anesthesiology at Lakewood Health System, joining two certificated registered nurse anesthetists, Rob Schmeig and Sherree Engen.
Halderman began practicing at Lakewood Health System on Aug. 4 after graduating from the University of Missouri, Kansas City, with his post-doctorate in anesthesiology. Before pursuing anesthesiology, Halderman worked as a radiographer for 10 years. In 2007, he was awarded Resident of the Month in the post-anesthesia care unit at the University of Missouri, Kansas City.
"I look forward to being an accountable partner at Lakewood Health System and meeting the quality care standards that have been set," Halderman said.
After studying radiography at Missouri State University, Halderman received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He belongs to the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the American Osteopathic Association.
