All-sports meeting set for Aug. 13
There will be an all-sports informational meeting at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 13, in the WDC High School Commons for all parents and athletes in grades 7-12 who plan on participating in a sport during the 2009-2010 school year.
The meeting will cover rules and regulations. Parents may fill out forms and pay fees from 5-6 p.m. during which time they will have an opportunity to ask questions.
After the 6 p.m. meeting, each fall sport will have their own informational meeting. It is important for fall sports participants and their parents attend these individual meetings. Information at these individual sports meetings include practice and game schedules as well as team policies and rules. Fall sports start on Aug. 17.
Athletes must have taken a physical in the last three years and that physical must be on file in the Activities Office before athletes may participate.
Athletic fees are $50 per sport for students in grades 9-12 and $30 per sport for students in grades 7-8. Hockey fees will remain at $330. Forms must be completed and turned into the activities office, and fees must be paid prior to the first day of practice.
