Alexandria man charged with DWI after crash
An Alexandria man was charged with DWI in Wadena County District Court after a rollover accident Nov. 6.
According to court records, Paul Dana Corder, 51, was involved in a crash around 3 p.m. on Nov. 6 at the intersection of Stocking Lake Road and 149th Avenue in Wadena County. As a deputy arrived on the scene, Corder's car was lying on its side and he was still in the car. Corder allegedly told the deputy he was uninjured, but the deputy detected alcohol on Corder, court records said.
The deputy spoke with a witness who said Corder's vehicle had been on the wrong side of the road and crossing into the ditch before it rolled over, court records said. Corder was given a breath test at the scene and allegedly blew 0.25. Later he was given another breath test and allegedly registered 0.23, which is nearly triple the legal limit in Minnesota.
Corder was charged Nov. 9 with DWI -- operate motor vehicle with alcohol concentration of 0.08 or above. He posted $300 bond and was released. His first court appearance was set for Nov. 17 in Wadena County District Court.
The Wadena County Sheriff's Office, Menahga Fire Department, Menahga First Responders and Tri-County Ambulance responded to the scene.
