Alexandria knocks Blue Devils out of playoffs
Kalley Kragenbring scored a hat trick Saturday as Alexandria ousted Long Prairie-Grey Eagle/Wadena-Deer Creek from the Section 6A playoffs with a 10-1 win.
The Blue Devils were out-shot 34-0 in the first period and 60-3 in the game.
Halley Maas scored for the Blue Devils at the 8:20 mark in the third period with an assist from Hayli Toenyan.
Sarah Holm took the net loss and Stephane Drown picked up the win.
The Blue Devils, who had just one junior and five sophomores on their team of 22 underclassmen, ended the season with a 2-22 mark.
