Mark Sanchez iced seven goals as the Achiever Academy Aces trounced Wadena-Deer Creek 12-0 Saturday at the Wadena Ice Arena.

Victor Morgan scored five assists. Cory Sprague came up with a hat trick in the rout and Will Mix contributed a playmaker.


Christian Palmquist stopped 13 WDC shots.

The Wolverines will host Breckenridge/Wahpeton Friday night at 7 p.m. before traveling to Hallock to challenge Kittson Central Saturday at 2 p.m.

The line of Thomas Miller, Jack Schulte and Mark Anez came up with four goals and eight assists Tuesday in a comeback victory over the Wolverines.

Josh Daigneault and Tyler Winkels gave the Wolverines an early 2-0 advantage. Daigneault iced his first varsity goal at the 4:28 mark. Winkels put the Wolverines up by two at the 10:28 mark of the period with assists from Austin Sutherland and Elijah Schmitz.

The Flyers then roared back with five straight goals to claim their third victory in 16 games.

Schulte and Anez both had playmakers for Flyers.
