400 attend Women's Night Out
Approximately 400 women enjoyed an evening out at Tri-County Hospital's annual "Women's Night Out" program on Oct. 19 and 20 in Wadena and Bertha.
"It was fun to see so many women enjoy an evening that offered a variety of activities just for them, such as health screenings, health-related booths, and educational presentations," said Roxy Hejhal, community relations manager at Tri-County Hospital in Wadena. "The evening concluded with an inspiring message and hopefully every woman left feeling motivated to live their best life!"
Inspirational speaker and writer, Kristen Brown, shared with women how she endured a difficult period in her life following the sudden death of her husband at the age of 30. She shared with the audience her belief that some of the greatest opportunities for personal growth and transformation evolve out of the most dire of circumstances. Kristen's journey, from anger and darkness back to happiness and peace, left all in attendance inspired.
Attendees also listened to presentations by Wadena Medical Center physicians Nicole Strand and Heidi Olson. Strand discussed dermatology and skin care for women while Olson addressed the importance of sleep and how women can get a better night's rest.
